TVL PRACTICUM

Get real-life experience with the TVL Practicum course: a cross-disciplinary experience using academic foundations of entrepreneurship and business modeling.

COURSE CREDIT AND REAL-WORLD CREDIBILITY

Gain experience and course credit while working for startups in the TVL Practicum class. Graduate students from all majors are welcome, with many from the MBA, law, engineering, pharmacy, and natural sciences programs.

Students experience startup reality while solving significant cross-disciplinary problems and applying academic principles in the real world. They build valuable job skills and strengthen their resumes with proven experience. Not to mention the ability to network with top-tier startups, founders, and investors and possibly find a job, raise funding, or identify team members.

Students participate in semester-long consulting projects solving significant problems alongside the company's founders. They work closely with two startup companies on market validation, competitive analysis, financial analysis, and business model assessment. Practicum students also receive extensive funding guidance from professors and entrepreneurs.

Applications for the Fall 2024 TVL Practicum are open. UT Austin graduate students with an interest in entrepreneurship should apply.

SPRING 2024 COHORT

TVL Practicum students work with a wide range of startups, both pre- and post-revenue from our TVL Accelerator. Check out this semester's cohort of companies.

TVL STUDENTS SOLVE REAL BUSINESS PROBLEMS

Hear from Branson Berger and Sean Finney, Spring 2023 TVL Practicum Alumni and Tano Pharmaceuticals co-founders, on their experience in the TVL Practicum.

TVL Practicum Spring 2023 Alumni
We had the opportunity to work with and help two passionate founders develop their business models, conduct market research, and create fundraising strategies. We both loved learning how other founders think and then attempt to apply their line of questioning to problems we are solving at Tano Pharmaceuticals
