Meet Your Career Coaches

Canfield BHP students have access to a dedicated career coach over their four years in the program. Your first semester includes a class taught by your career coach that introduces you to the various business majors, and techniques and tips that will help you succeed in college and beyond.

Jackie Kim

Jackie comes to McCombs primarily from management consulting, having served as business analyst and senior consultant at Deloitte in San Francisco and New York and most recently as Vice President of Client Services at a healthcare strategy firm based here in Austin.  Her professional background also includes corporate affairs and chief of staff roles across the nonprofit and education sectors and she hopes to lend her diverse experiences across a variety of clients and industries to supporting BBA students in their career planning. 

She earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a master’s degree in sociology and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University. Jackie has lived in Austin for the past 14 years and is excited to be part of the Longhorn community! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and watching her two sons play sports. She looks forward to meeting all of you!

Graduate with Experience Under Your Belt
Every McCombs student is required to complete an internship before graduating. Because of Canfield BHP's strong reputation with corporate employers, our students are often recruited into highly desirable internships. All McCombs students have access to the McCombs job board, career expos and a large number of events aimed to connect students with employers.

If you want to be an entrepreneur, look no further. McCombs houses the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship. The Center supports the Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program, allowing students seeking advice on launching their own entrepreneurial venture to connect with successful entrepreneurs. They also host a speaker series featuring serial entrepreneurs.
