Undergraduate Programs
Degrees of Specialization
The Rosenthal Department of Management offers courses in consulting, change management, human capital management, and entrepreneurship. Students may customize a major in general management or focus on consulting and change management.
General Management Track

The General Management Track trains broadly for leadership in a wide variety of organizations: 

  • Public or private
  • Product or service-oriented
  • Profit or not-for-profit

Students acquire knowledge about the management of human and physical resources and develop skills useful in the direction of any organization.

  • MAN 334M

6 semester hours of upper-division social science.

Additional elective coursework (if necessary) to provide a total of at least 120 semester hours.

Consulting & Change Management Track

The Consulting & Change Management Track prepares students to become leaders in consulting firms, firms that require consulting advice, and firms implementing essential changes. Such changes include: 

  • Introducing new competitive thrusts,
  • Revised organizational structures, 
  • New technologies, and
  • Expantion into new geograpic markets.

Entrepreneurship Minor

The Entrepreneurship Minor is available to both BBA and non-BBA majors. This minor teaches entrepreneurship fundamentals and shows students what it takes to succeed as entrepreneurs. Students take five short courses, participate in the Texas McCombs entrepreneurial community, and graduate from the Entrepreneurship Minor program.
