Catherine Campbell

Catherine Campbell is a business development manager for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, working primarily with companies in the technology and energy industries. Previously, she was a BBA career coach and lecturer, teaching Professional Development & Career Planning. She worked primarily with students in the Canfield Business Honors Program, including both the Texas Honors Computer Science and Business and the Texas Honors Electrical and Computer Engineering and Business programs.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was the executive director of Alzheimer’s Texas and helped the nonprofit raise more than $850,000 in less than 12 months. In addition, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America awarded her organization with the Brodsky Innovation Grant for its “visitation station” concept, which was designed to reduce social isolation and enhance human connection for families who needed it most.

She has held several other positions at UT, including development officer with the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering, assistant director of donor relations and events with the Longhorn Foundation, and development assistant with the T-Association. She also worked in higher education at Indiana University-Bloomington and dabbled in Hollywood by assisting one of Los Angeles’ leading sports choreographers with a full-length feature film and several national commercials for brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Campbell, a former Division I two-sport scholarship athlete, has a bachelor’s in corporate communications and public affairs from Southern Methodist University and a master’s in sport administration and management from Indiana University-Bloomington.
