Make an Impact
Your contribution as a supporter helps us to put into practice the strategic plan of The University of Texas at Austin regarding energy education. With your involvement, the KBH Energy Center will continue to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the energy industry.
Our Mission
The KBH Energy Center aspires to be the nation’s preeminent energy center focused on the key issues of the energy industry. As a multidisciplinary endeavor of the Cockrell School of Engineering, Jackson School of Geosciences, McCombs School of Business, and Texas Law, the Center will: inspire, support, and strengthen the education and experience of the next generation of energy leaders; convene energy industry leaders, experts, and other stakeholders for fact-based discussion, study, and analysis of the key developments and issues facing the energy industry; and shape the future of energy by facilitating interaction and discourse between scholars, students from the University of Texas, industry leaders, legislators, policymakers, and regulators.
Advisory Council
As a member of the Advisory Council, you will play an important role in mentoring students, developing programming, and building the energy curriculum. In addition to invitations to the Center’s myriad of programming (MEI Annual Conference Dinner, lecture series, receptions, networking events, and golf tournament), you will receive two complimentary tickets to our Annual Symposium.
Associate Advisory Council
Created specifically for graduates less than 10 years out of school, the Associate Advisory Council offers the same opportunities to impact the center as the Advisory Council. Benefits of this membership include one complimentary ticket to our Annual Symposium, invitations to other events, networking and mentoring opportunities with members of the Executive and Advisory Councils, and more.
Student Advisory Council
The KBH Student Advisory Council was created to foster opportunities for growth and professional development, and to serve as the representative body and voice for energy students at the university. Members represent the KBH center and the student voices by participating in council meetings twice a year and other events, student meetings, energy treks, and more.
