Get Business Certified

Learn more about our new certificate launching in the Fall of 2024!

  • What is the Elements of Business Certificate?

The new certificate was created with flexible course options to allow non-business students to customize a business credential that best complements their academic and career goals. The certificate requires a choice of 18 hours on a letter-grade basis, with a minimum of 9 completed in residence within one year after graduation. The certificate is different from the Business Foundations Minor which is based on 18 hours of core courses and gives an overall understanding of the key functions of business. The minor has to be completed when a student graduates.

Your choice of 18 semester hours selected from the following:

  • ACC 310F - Foundations of Accounting (ACC 311 and ACC 312 can substitute if both are taken)
  • MIS 302F - Foundations of Information Technology Management (or equivalent)
