Financial Reporting and Assurance Track
Students in this track are prepared for positions in financial reporting, internal audit, capital budgeting, assurance, and project analysis in government and non-government organizations. -
Managerial Accounting and Control Track
Focuses on how auditing information assists leaders in making informed decisions in planning, evaluating, and controlling an entity. -
Taxation Track
The taxation track offers an excellent foundation for career mobility within and outside of the tax field in all sectors of the economy.

This track allows you to design your own area of specialization. Select your own coursework beyond the accounting core, including non-accounting graduate electives. -
Internal Audit Certificate Program

CPA EXAM SUCCESS
CPA candidates from The University of Texas at Austin typically have pass rates much higher than the statewide average overall and on any given part of the Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination. Our students’ pass rates also tend to exceed the national averages. In fact, several of our students have received the prestigious American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Sells Award for earning the highest cumulative scores on the four sections of the exam on their first attempt. The Texas McCombs MPA curriculum lays a solid educational foundation for the CPA exam.
