    Incoming students to the Weekend MBA at Houston will have the opportunity to tailor their degree with new elective offerings and more networking opportunities while still experiencing all the hallmarks of the top-ranked Texas McCombs MBA. The program redesign offers an increased focus in leadership, technology, and global business coursework, as well as an additional intensive in Austin, bringing Working Professional MBA students from Austin, Dallas, and Houston together for academic classes and co-curricular learning opportunities.

Austin Intensives

Your journey begins with the Austin Intensive Seminar - an opportunity to meet your new classmates, start learning from McCombs faculty, and launch your studies on The University of Texas at Austin campus.

Year One - Fall

Your first fall semester in Houston will focus on building your foundational business knowledge. Coursework includes:

Year One - Spring

Your second semester in Houston builds upon the first, as you dive into the next phase of our core curriculum. Coursework includes:

Summer Semester

The summer builds on the momentum from your first year. Coursework includes:

Year Two - Fall

You’re now more than halfway toward your Texas McCombs MBA degree. In your second fall semester, you’ll once again visit the UT Austin campus for an Austin Intensive seminar. Your course schedule begins to develop laser focus, including the following classes:

Year Two - Spring

As you approach the finish line of your MBA program, you'll return to the UT Austin campus for an Austin Intensive seminar in January and take advanced coursework to prepare you for whatever comes next in your career. Courses include:

    Your class weekends will take place at our campus at the University of Texas Health Science Center—an enormous institution in the Texas Medical Center district that contains state-of-the-art classroom designs, event space, dining, and parking— all smack dab in the middle of Houston. It’s an ideal environment for innovation and team collaboration.

    You’ll spend three times per year at Rowling Hall on the UT Austin campus for the Austin Intensive seminars. During these trips, you’ll have time to get to know your classmates and faculty better and to meet students from the other Texas McCombs Working Professional MBA programs in Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth.

Class Schedule

The MBA at Houston program meets for class alternating weekends on Friday evening and all-day Saturday. Classes are held at the Texas McCombs MBA campus at the UT Health Cizik School of Nursing Building in Houston.
