Trenzio Turner is director of Business Culture and Community for undergraduate programs and a marketing lecturer for the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Turner teaches courses on personal branding for student athletes and on the role of marketing in societal bias. He was twice honored with Amplify Awards for his course’s inclusive design.

Turner is also owner and chief empathy officer of Progress Confirmed LLC, a consultancy focused on advertising agency operations, branding, and messaging strategy, as well as guidance on inclusion, equity, and diversity. 

A former advertising agency executive and partner, Turner has more than 20 years of experience and a background in media planning, agency operations, and account management. He made his name in the advertising industry by building strategic partnerships and helping clients make meaningful connections. These clients include AARP, the Austin Independent School District, AT&T, Chevrolet, KFC, Mini USA, and the U.S. Air Force.

He served as a board member for YMCA Austin’s East Communities branch and is currently on the advisory council for the McCombs Master of Science in Marketing program. Turner also co-hosted “ATX Together: The Engage Series” on Austin PBS.

As a content creator, Turner launched “Tracksuits and Pajamas,” a podcast devoted to helping people navigate difficult conversations through the power of empathy.

Turner graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in marketing and earned all-conference honors as a member of the football team. His most prized and cherished accomplishment is being a husband to his wife, Ursula, and a father to their son, Chase.
